EMILY BARNARD
I have recently completed my final year of studying a BA (Hons) Graphic Design at the University of Brighton.
I have always been interested in identity and how that can be translated visually.
My 'Canal Signwriting' project blends my love for typography with the identity of the West Midlands, where I grew up.
In terms of commercial practice, Visual Identity intrigues me the most because of the amount of research that goes into forming the contextual basis of a brand. I love finding the functionality behind every decision, each small change having a purpose that contributes to translating a core value.
