The typeface 'Aglet Mono' from XYZ Type is informed by rounded architecture, an industry closely related to product design. The dented sides of the 'A' letterform feel practical and constructive.
I tweaked the cross-bar to extend past the frame of the 'A', further enhancing the theme of construction. As product design operates in a 3-Dimensional space, I distorted the letter to give it a 3D perspective. This also adds dynamism and character to the 'A', transforming it from a letterform to a logomark.
The negative space inside the logomark also resembles a pen, hinting towards the manual planning and sketching that builds the foundation of each product.
