Logo and branding project for Rappel; a company that sells high quality mountain climbing equipment.

Rappel Hero

Knowledge of different knots is a key part of mounatin climbing, so I referenced the shape of a simple knot in the 'R' lettermark. Imagery of the Figure 8 loop is also used throughout Rappel's branding to reinforce the idea of strength and reliability.

The colour palette draws directly from the blue and purple-ish hues of mountain slate, commonly found in UK mountain ranges.

I created the wordmark from scratch using vector lines. I have slanted the entire word upwards to mimic the feeling of looking up at a tall mounatin or climbing wall.
